The first taxis of the Association of Ag. Christoforos in Serres were in circulation after the end of World War II in 1949. The office of Radiotaxi Serres started operating in early 1981. Initially the fleet of Radiotaxi consisted of 10 cars. By the end of 2008 the members of the radio taxi reach 96 cars out of the 110 that exist in the city. Thus, in March 2009, the Radio Taxi of Serres is created, which continues to provide better and more services in the field of transport based on the best and safest transport according to the needs of each passenger.
Serres is a city in Macedonia, seat of the municipality of Serres and capital of the Regional Unit of Serres, in Central Macedonia. It is the second largest city in Macedonia and according to the 2011 census, the population of the city amounts to 58,287 inhabitants. It is 89 km from Thessaloniki and 587 km from Athens. The ancient city is first mentioned by Herodotus (in the 5th century BC) under the name of Siris, but its foundation seems to date back to at least the beginning of the 2nd millennium B.C, having a long history of four millennia.
